When installing counters and similar items, it is dangerous if the cut edges come into contact with human hands, so typically, they are bent back to create a lip. This lip area tends to be perceived as hollow and may seem like it would dent if something hits it; however, if made from 1.5mm thick stainless steel, it will not bend or dent under normal circumstances. Additionally, the corners of counters treated with buff #400 stainless steel SUS304 are processed with an R30 radius to prevent injury in case someone accidentally bumps into them.
